In the American West, a group of outlaws, including Jay Grobart, Dawes, Billy Bowen, and Charlie Bent, rob a train and take a wealthy young woman, Catherine, against her will. As they escape, they discover Catherine is also fleeing her own problems. Jay, the leader, must manage his crew and keep Catherine from escaping while carrying out his mission to fulfill the reason he stole the money. Meanwhile, a Wells Fargo investigator and Catherine's husband, Willard Crocker, are hot on their trail.
