Tommy Basilio's life is in shambles. He lost his job after embezzling funds, his girlfriend is pregnant with his boss's child and has left him, and he's struggling to find work due to his past mistake. He finds solace in the Trees Lounge, a local bar where he lives among a cast of eccentric characters. As he drifts through his days, still pining for his ex, Tommy searches for a sense of purpose beyond the bar and a meaning to his life.
