True to the Navy background

True to the Navy

In San Diego, a lively waitress navigates brief affairs with sailors while yearning for a meaningful bond with a free-spirited gunner who values his independence above all else.

Sailors in the Pacific Fleet have a surprising common interest - a single woman, Ruby Nolan, a counter-girl in a San Diego drugstore. Despite being the object of affection for many, Ruby's heart belongs to the reserved gunners-mate, "Bull's-Eye" McCoy, who remains unmoved. Ruby sets out to win his affection.
