A sequel to the 1947 film, this movie follows Pepe "El Toro" and his wife "La Chorreada" as they raise their two children. However, their daughter Chachita is taken away by her wealthy grandmother Charito, who tries to change her into a wealthy young woman. Chachita falls in love with El Pichi, but their social differences ultimately tear them apart. The story takes a tragic turn when Pepe's young son, El Torito, loses his life in a fire.
