Virginia's Run

A young girl finds solace and meaning in caring for her mother's horse's newborn foal after a tragic riding accident takes her mother's life.

When Deborah, the wife of Canadian lobster fisher Ford Lofton, dies from a fall on neighbor Blake Raines's horse Twister, their family's life is turned upside down. Ford's eldest daughter Caroline, who has no interest in horses, starts dating Blake's son Darrow, a hot-headed jockey. Meanwhile, Caroline's younger sister Virginia is devastated by the sale of Stormy, the foal of Twister, and becomes determined to make a new life for herself in the world of horse racing.
