Julia, a former American actress, and her husband Francis, a marketing expert, relocate to Bucharest, Romania. Julia struggles to adapt, not speaking the local language, while Francis takes a new job. As Julia explores the neighborhood, she becomes convinced that someone is watching her, and her suspicions are heightened when a serial killer, known as Spider, is reported in the area. Despite her husband's skepticism, Julia's paranoia grows as she follows a suspicious man, who may be both her stalker and the killer.
