Village gendarme Franz Eberhofer is a man of strong instincts, having spent 15 years serving in Munich before being transferred to his hometown of Niederkaltenkirchen. When the body of Neuhofer son is found buried under a construction container, Eberhofer is convinced it was no accident. With the help of his friend and former colleague Rudi Birkenberger, a private detective, he discovers that the container's suspension was tampered with.
