A Month in the Country

In a country church in northern England, a 500-year-old mural was hidden under layers of white paint. World War I veteran Tom Birken is tasked with restoring the mural, while fellow veteran James Moon searches for an ancestor's grave. The rector's wife, Alice, visits the church and later stops by Birken's bell tower home, bringing a basket of apples.
