A young man with a mental disability flees an abusive stepfather who has brutally killed his pets. He finds refuge with a peculiar old man who buries roadkill animals, and learns to view the natural world in a peculiar, idyllic light. However, the dark presence of his stepfather soon closes in, shattering Bobby's world into a gruesome and terrifying reality.
