In the frozen wilderness, a helicopter pilot teams up with a husband and wife to tag foxes for the EPA. Tragedy strikes when an avalanche claims the husband's life, but the pilot's bravery saves the wife. Two years later, the wife takes on a corporation determined to build an oil pipeline across the tundra above Juneau, convinced it will trigger another deadly avalanche. Despite her efforts, the corporation dismisses her warnings. Undeterred, she enlists the pilot's help to stop the pipeline, but their mission faces numerous challenges.
