In 1937, four childhood friends, T.K. Neelan, Rajat, Manas, and Sajani, live in Kalpetta Township during the British Raj. T.K. works for his British employer, Henry Moores, while Sajani is employed as a maidservant in the Moores household. When T.K. is asked to join the freedom movement, he is torn between his loyalty to the British and his growing awareness of the injustices faced by his friends and community.
