Benji, a show dog, is swept away to the Oregon wilderness after being lost at sea. Initially, his goal is to return to his master, but he soon finds four orphaned cougar kittens whose mother was killed by a hunter. Benji's new mission is to reunite the kittens with a mother cougar and her single child, while navigating the dangers of the wild.
