Matt Busch, a successful illustrator, feels unfulfilled and seeks a more meaningful personal project. He discovers an old photograph of a South-American castle in a graveyard and becomes obsessed, bringing it to life with a colorful painting and eerie sketches of tortured souls. As his art takes shape, his girlfriend Sarah experiences ghostly encounters at home, and they eventually find themselves transported to the castle, where they must confront the demonic spirits from Matt's twisted nightmares.
