The sequel to "The Robe" begins where the original left off, with the aftermath of Diana and Marcellus' martyrdom. Christ's robe is entrusted to Peter, but the emperor Caligula seeks to reclaim it, believing it holds special powers. As tensions rise, Demetrius, Marcellus' former slave, finds himself caught between his loyalty to his former master and his growing feelings for Messalina, wife of Caligula's uncle Claudius.
