A young girl is determined to reach Washington D.C. to be with her injured brother, a war veteran. With train travel unavailable, she visits Paramount Pictures and meets Bing Crosby, who is organizing a Victory War Bonds show. The government has arranged a special caravan to Washington for Hollywood stars, and the girl hopes to get a ride with them. She navigates the studio, encountering various stars, before finally meeting Bing. However, she must persuade Bob Hope to share his lower berth in order to secure a spot in the caravan's upper berth.
