Joe Palooka, a boxing champion, agrees to a rematch with Cardona in South America, but his manager is unaware that the South American summer is just four weeks away. Meanwhile, a reporter, Anne Howe, goes undercover to report on Palooka's training, while a group of counterfeiters attempt to smuggle fake currency plates onto the ship. When an investigator posing as a writer is "killed" on board, Palooka and his manager team up to help him catch the counterfeiters, who have switched an ancient Inca statue with one containing the plates.
