Shabri, a young woman, lives in poverty with her family and is the sole breadwinner. She's bitter about her circumstances and argues with her father and younger brother, Bandya, about their lifestyle. When Bandya is arrested and tortured by Inspector Khare, Shabri goes to visit him and is almost molested, but escapes. After Bandya is found dead, allegedly trying to escape, Shabri refuses to believe the story and seeks revenge. She kills Khare and goes into hiding with the help of Murad, a goon. However, Murad's brother, Rajdharbhau, becomes involved, putting Shabri and her family in greater danger.
