A newcomer's introduction of sheep to a small town sparks tension among long-standing cattle ranchers, upending the traditional way of life.

A group of women from the East Coast arrive at a ranch, only to be directed by Foreman Autry to a dilapidated shack, hinting that they should leave. However, Briggs, the cunning owner, manipulates the situation to sell the ranch at a low price. Meanwhile, Autry is framed for murder, and Briggs tries to eliminate him from the picture.
