In the midst of the Civil War, a former preacher turned outlaw, Josiah Galt, and his sons engage in a life of plunder, pillage, and brutality. However, one of his sons, David, is shaken by the brutal massacre of an entire town and abandons his gang life to start anew with his wife and child. Years later, the gang arrives in David's new town with their sights set on the local bank.
