Omar Sharif stars as Genghis Khan, a Mongol warlord who conquered much of the known world in the 13th century. After being taken prisoner and forced to wear a restrictive wooden stock, Temujin escapes with the help of two allies and begins his quest to unite the Mongol tribes. He faces success, but his old rival Jamuga repeatedly appears, leading to a final showdown.
