A wealthy doctor's daughter inherits his estate, only to find herself targeted by her uncle and his accomplice, who plan to murder her. The uncle, a paralytic, uses his son by the housekeeper to carry out the scheme, while a mysterious ape lurking in the shadows may or may not play a role in the sinister plot.
