The story revolves around a brilliant and talented young man struggling with obesity and immaturity, living among a community of homeless young adults who refer to their lives as "planets." His world is turned upside down when his talent for playing the piano is hindered by his mother's frustration, and he's forced to administer her insulin shots. Despite these challenges, he continues to play, taking lessons from an eccentric piano teacher who has him strumming notes on her dining room table. However, his life takes a dramatic turn as he's pulled in a new direction.
