A Mexican-Navajo mechanic, Lupe Reyes, embarks on a journey to find her father, Carl, after her mother's medical treatment becomes unaffordable. Along the way, she forms an unlikely bond with Maddy Monroe after accidentally helping her rob a pawn shop. Together, they must evade the pawn shop's pursuers, travel to Alta Valley, and confront Carl for the first time. However, upon arrival, Lupe discovers her father's dark past and the injustices he inflicted on her Navajo family, leading her to stand up against the corruption.
