Turuleca, a hen unable to lay eggs, is bought by a kind aging woman named Isabel who uses music to help her lay eggs. Turuleca learns human language and songs from Isabel and lives with her on a farm. When Isabel falls ill and loses her memory, Turuleca leaves the farm to find her, but gets lost and ends up at Circus Daedalus, where she becomes the new star and helps the circus pay off its debt. However, a ruthless businessman named Armando Tramas tries to steal Turuleca to ruin the circus and make a profit.
