170 Hz

A tender romance unfolds between two deaf teens who dare to defy their families' disapproval, only to have their happiness imperiled by a dark and ominous secret.

Unconditional love and freedom are at the heart of 170 Hz, a film about two deaf-mute teenagers, Nick and Evy, who fall deeply in love. Despite their inability to hear or speak, they develop their own unique way of communicating and distance themselves from the world around them. When they sense their parents' disapproval, they concoct a daring plan to flee and hide in a secluded spot, where Evy will become pregnant and they'll raise a child together, convinced that nothing can keep them apart. They retreat to a former Soviet submarine, where they focus on their "baby project" amidst the sounds and vibrations they can't hear, but intensely feel.
