Ben Campbell, a brilliant M.I.T. student, seeks a scholarship to attend Harvard School of Medicine. Introduced to a group of students who count cards at blackjack, Ben joins them on secret trips to Las Vegas, earning hundreds of thousands of dollars. As he becomes corrupted by greed and arrogance, his relationships with the group and their mentor, Professor Rosa, are put at risk by a ruthless casino security enforcer.
