During World War II, the Japanese army swiftly captures British territories, forcing men into labor camps. The fate of British women and children remains uncertain. A group of women and children embark on a perilous journey, searching for a Women's Camp. Along the way, they receive aid from an Australian soldier who risks his own life to smuggle food from his labor camp. After the war, one of the women travels to Australia to reconnect with the soldier and pay tribute to the town that welcomed her and her fellow survivors.
