Homicide detective Robert Holden is tasked with investigating the death of Lynn Straw, the lead singer of the rock band "The Danger Dolls", in Oakland. The case appears to be an open and shut cocaine overdose, but Holden soon discovers that each band member has secrets to hide. The investigation unfolds with the discovery of Lynn's body, followed by the introduction of the band members: Maggie, a fiery lead guitarist; Cassandra, a sultry bass player; and Veronica, a skilled drummer who goes into hiding after Lynn's death. As Detective Holden digs deeper, he becomes entangled in a web of lies and deceit that threatens to consume everyone involved.
