Los Angeles and other global cities are being bombarded by meteors, followed by an alien invasion as extraterrestrial beings land off LA's coast and begin slaughtering beachgoers. The military springs into action, reassigning Marine Staff Sergeant Nantz to a new platoon led by 2nd Lt. Martinez.
