A wagon train, escorted by the Army, navigates through Indian territory in 1848, led by scout Davy Crockett, nephew of the legendary Davy Crockett. However, a spy among them is secretly informing the Indians of their plans, putting the group in grave danger. Despite surviving an initial attack, the wagon train pushes on, choosing a new route through the mountains after learning that the other path will be defended by the Indians. But, in a shocking turn of events, the Indians attack once again, suggesting that they were somehow informed of the group's new plan.
