The movie follows the explosive growth of the advertising industry in post-Soviet Russia, amidst a time of great change as the country transitioned from communism to capitalism.

The film Generation P, based on Viktor Pelevin's novel, explores hallucinations and their impact on humanity, as seen through a speech by Che Guevara. Set in 1990s Moscow, the story follows Babylen Tatarskiy, a PR agent who adapts Western brands to suit the Russian mindset. The film combines humor, visual effects, and complex storytelling to explore how former pioneers become servants to the goddess Ishtar and how the Pepsi generation opted for Coke.
