A young bellhop, Chuck McGraw, is discovered by promoter Nick Donati and molded into a boxing champion. However, Nick's personal relationships become complicated when his mistress falls for Chuck and Chuck develops feelings for Nick's sister. As Nick's possessiveness grows, it threatens to destroy Chuck's career and ultimately leads to a deadly showdown.
