Sardonic detective Shane returns to his hometown and his ex-partner's detective agency, which is struggling. He's welcomed with open arms and soon meets Valerie Purvis, who's willing to pay a high price to have her attacker followed. However, things take a turn when Shane's partner is murdered and his apartment is destroyed by a mysterious crook who apologizes and shares a story about the legendary Horn of Roland.
