Les Patterson, a boisterous and inebriated Australian diplomat, causes an international incident when his flatulence destroys an Arab ambassador's office. As a result, he's sent to the Middle East, where he inadvertently foils a coup and is spared from torture. Patterson's antics lead him to team up with his ex-wife, the flamboyant and eccentric Dame Edna, to prevent a bioweapon from being unleashed on the Pentagon through toilet seats.
