A young entertainer, Carole Beaumont, is torn between her feelings for actor and producer Charles King and her growing connection with Albert Gutman. After a bomb explosion during an air raid, Carole's unconscious mind takes her on a fantastical journey, where she imagines herself as Nell Gwyn and Charles as King Charles. As she recovers, she accepts Albert's proposal, influenced by her daydreams.
