She lives with her partner Slick, who infected her, and their daughter Kim, but has lost custody of her older daughter Kelly, who lives with her estranged mother Lucille. When Kelly's friend Amare, who is sick and rejected, goes missing, Ana searches for him and reflects on her life and relationship with Kelly, who may be moving to Virginia with Lucille.
