Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders

A boy is forced to spend time with his grandpa during a power outage and learns about his grandpa's past as a screenwriter. The grandpa re-tells an old screenplay about Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, a magical store set up by Merlin and his wife in a modern strip mall. The story is framed by the boy's encounter with his grandpa, and within it, there are two separate tales about people's experiences with enchanted items from the shop.
