A lawyer named Malone is on the hunt for his paroled client, Kepplar, who owes him a fee and has fled to Chicago by train. Joined by Kepplar's ex-wife, a police inspector, and a radio contest winner, Malone finds himself embroiled in a murder mystery when Kepplar is killed on the train. As the group searches for the killer, a series of hilarious and chaotic events unfolds in the train's corridors.
