Out West with the Peppers background

Out West with the Peppers

The Pepper family, consisting of Mrs. Pepper and her five children - Polly, Ben, Joey, Davie, and Phronsie - reside in a small house in the quaint town of Gusty Corners, where they are neighbors with the Kings, including J.H. King and his young grandson Jasper.

The Peppers, a family of seven, are forced to move to a boarding house in Oregon after Mrs. Pepper's health issues require her to live at a high altitude. The family's financial situation has changed since the discovery of copper in their mine, but they face new challenges in their new home, where they are not welcomed by their uncle and his wife, who own the boarding house. The children, especially the younger ones, clash with their uncle, who is a drunk and struggling to provide for his family.
