Two medical school friends, Patrick and Steve, attend a college cheerleaders contest in Oregon, where they get caught up in a dangerous situation. Steve is seduced by local Amber, but it's a trap, and he gets robbed and beaten by her lover, Bo Cooper, who is also the sheriff's son. Feeling guilty and ashamed, Bo shoots himself, and his father sets Steve and his friend up as wanted "killers".
