A wealthy businessman, Rana, and his brother, Vishwa, are good friends with a less affluent man, Brijnath. Rana's sister, Madhu, and Brijnath's brother, Raja, are friends and are arranged to marry when they're older. However, Rana backs out and insults Brijnath due to his social status. Years later, Raja and Madhu fall in love, but Rana and Vishwa try to keep them apart. When Birju, now mentally unstable, is accused of attacking Madhu, Raja must choose between his love and his brother's innocence.
