Two rival alien spacecraft crash at Area 51, and a military team sent to investigate is decimated. Jake Townsend, a former soldier, discovers the wreckage and befriends Jude, a wounded alien who claims to be seeking a weapon to prevent his rival, Kronnan, from destroying Earth. As they search for the weapon with Jake's former lover Monica, they're pursued by Kronnan and a paramilitary team.
