In 1913, Budapest, a young woman named Irisz Leiter arrives in the city with dreams of working at her family's legendary hat store. However, the new owner, Oszkár Brill, sends her away. As preparations are made to host important guests, a man appears, searching for Kálmán Leiter, Irisz's only link to her past.
