In 1830, renowned violinist Niccolò Paganini is at the peak of his career, with his manager Urbani capitalizing on his scandals to market him across Europe. Despite his success, Paganini has yet to conquer the London public. Impresario John Watson and his mistress risk everything to bring Paganini to London for his British debut, and Urbani eventually succeeds in luring him there. With rave reviews from journalist Ethel Langham, Urbani's plan seems to be working. However, Paganini falls in love with Watson's daughter Charlotte, a talented singer, which displeases Urbani and sets him plotting a sinister scheme.
