A civilian shuttlecraft crashes on the forest moon of Endor, separating the Towani family. Jermitt and Catarine are captured by the Gorax, while Mace and Cindel are missing. The next day, Deej, an Ewok, finds Cindel alone in the shuttle, and Mace appears with his emergency blaster. Cindel convinces Mace that the Ewoks are friendly, and together they embark on a quest to find their captured family members.
