In the 1970s, two friends, Kevin and Bob, cruise the western suburbs of Sydney in Kevin's yellow FJ Holden, seeking adventure and romance. Their carefree lifestyle takes a turn when Kevin meets Anne, who works at a bustling shopping center. As they spend more time together, their relationship reaches a boiling point, culminating in a drunken and ill-fated encounter that drives Anne to banish them from her life.
