Two writers from different walks of life, a Black militant novelist and a Jewish author, forge an unlikely connection in a rundown tenement.
Harry Lesser, a struggling writer, toils away on his novel on the top floor of a derelict tenement, only to be disrupted by the arrival of Willie Spearmint, a black militant and aspiring writer, who moves into the building to work on his own book.
