The film follows the rigorous training of the US Army Air Forces as they learn to operate the groundbreaking Boeing B-29 Superfortress, a formidable bomber capable of wreaking havoc over vast distances.

In 1943, Captain Harold Calvert is sent to Kansas to learn to fly the B-29 Superfortress, the newest American bomber. He's trained by Major Tom West, his cousin, and they're both impressed by the plane's capabilities.
