A young man, Dagdu Shantaram Parab, leaves his studies after multiple failures and begins delivering newspapers, where he falls for Prakjakta Lele, a beautiful woman from a traditional and strict family. Despite their initial attraction, their love is met with resistance from Prakjakta's father, Madhav Lele, who disapproves of Dagdu and refuses to accept him as a suitor for his daughter.
