Toni Bradley, a small-town Iowa native, arrives in New York City to claim her late father's estate and sporting business, a lucrative gambling operation with manipulated odds. However, her father's associates, led by Steve Gordon and Jack Kramer, attempt to seize control, claiming the business is hemorrhaging money or too difficult to manage. Toni, with the help of songwriter Pinky Tomlin and his girlfriend "Babe" Heath, fights back, eventually winning over Steve to her side.
